Ms. Shartrand has been the Director of Guidance at Scotia-Glenville High School since May 2003. She was the Guidance Chairperson for the Warwick Valley School District in Warwick, NY prior to coming to Scotia-Glenville School District.

Ms. Shartrand has her B.A. in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz, her M.S. in School Counseling from Russell Sage College, and her Administrative Certification, SAS/SDA from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

Ms. May has been employed at Scotia-Glenville High School since 1993. She is the guidance counselor for students in grades 9-12.

Ms. May received her B.A. in History from the University of New Hampshire, and her MED in School Counseling from the University of Hawaii.

In addition to her guidance counselor duties, Ms. May has been the Drama Club Advisor since 1995. She also directs the fall shows at the high school for the past 14 years, and the spring musicals for the past 9 years. Two of these musicals, "Damn Yankees" and "Little Shop of Horrors" received awards from Schenectady Light Opera's High School Review Program. Ms. May is also an active participant in the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce School-to-Work Program, and is a member of the Career Expo Committee, the Career Shadowing Committee, the Certificate of Employment Committee, and the Operational Council.

Lise Williams
Counselor

Mrs. Williams has been employed at Scotia-Glenville High School since January of 1997. Prior to that she worked for BOCES in Transition Services and completed a maternity leave at Schalmont High School.

A graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, Mrs. Williams received her B.A. in Psychology from Ithaca College and her M.S. in Counseling with a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling from SUNY Albany. At Ithaca College, Mrs. Williams was involved in Psi Chi Honor Society, served as a Statistics Teaching Assistant, and worked at a YMCA afterschool program. She played Varsity Soccer all four years and was on Ithaca's National Championship teams in 1990 and 1991.

In addition to her guidance counselor duties, Mrs. Williams is the Varsity Girls Soccer Coach and has been since 2001.
