Guided Inquiry (T chart comparison) allows students to investigate in an interactive, meaning filled way. A student's role in guided inquiry may include:
- selection of topic from a select list or free choice based upon personal interest
- creation of a set of research questions to guide investigation in response to an essential question birthed with a teacher or given by the teacher
- reflect on progress and learning throughout the entire process
- connect learning to life
- assess both the process and product in a reflective manner.
