Lincoln School is located at 40 Albion Street in Scotia. It is nestled in the Mohawk River Valley, northwest of Schenectady, N.Y. It is in close proximity of New York’s capital, Albany. The Capital Region area is rich with recreational and cultural opportunities.
Lincoln Elementary School is one of four K-5 buildings in the Scotia-Glenville Central School District. It has a student population of about 260 children in grades K-5.
Lincoln is a National School of Excellence awarded in 1985-1986. We stress a solid, traditional education that emphasizes reading, writing and mathematics while nurturing creative thought, critical thinking and expression through art, music, technology and physical education.
Our school colors are red and white. Our school mascot is a penguin.
Our latest and most challenging project was the creation of our new playground.
We are very proud of the combined efforts of both our school and our community to reach this goal. Now, “Humphrey’s Hangout” is truly enjoyed by one and all.
