Tartan girls serve up a Section 2 tennis championship

Congratulations Coach Olson and the Scotia-Glenville Section 2 Champion Girls Tennis Team

The No. 1 seeded Scotia-Glenville varsity girls tennis team defeated No. 2 seeded Hudson Falls in the Class B Championship to clinch its first Section 2 title since 2002.  Isabel Amurao, Gabriela Amurao, and Emma Klejsmyt each had decisive wins in singles.

The Tartans #1 doubles team of Allison McGlauflin and Jillian Edgar sealed the win with their 6-0, 6-0 victory. Alice Nichter and Anabella Candida won their doubles match in a second set tiebreaker. Scotia defeated Hudson Falls all three times this season 5-2.

“We really tried to play a tough non-league schedule that would prepare us for the postseason. I think it paid off as our girls experienced competition outside of our league and had success.” Coach Geoffrey Olson
