Kristel and DeCarr: Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to volleyball player Keeley Kristel and soccer player Grady DeCarr for being selected as the top performing Tartan athletes for the month of October.

Keeley Kristel is a standout senior on the varsity volleyball team, known for her natural leadership and dedication.

Over her five years on the team, she has not only competed fiercely but has also taken the time to support and mentor younger players. With a total of 317 kills and 86 aces, Keeley is a force on the court, often sacrificing her body to chase after every point.

But she doesn’t just shine in volleyball; Keeley is also a skilled player on the varsity basketball team and an accomplished pitcher in softball. Her commitment to sportsmanship and teamwork is evident in everything she does.

Academically, Keeley is impressive as well, holding a solid 92 average in her classes. She truly embodies what it means to be a well-rounded student-athlete.

Grady DeCarr

Grady DeCarr is a dedicated senior and captain of the varsity boys soccer team.

This season, Grady has been a key player, contributing to over 20% of the team’s assists. One of his standout moments was a perfect corner kick to his teammate Caleb Feinberg, which helped the team equalize in a nail biting game against LaSalle in the sectionals.

Grady’s enthusiasm and support for his teammates really lifts everyone’s spirits, and he’s always ready to step into any position on the field.

Beyond soccer, Grady is also a hardworking student, maintaining a solid GPA of 92.
