The students immersed themselves in the island’s vibrant history and culture, participated in a salsa dance class, and enjoyed a mofongo cooking session that included a tour of a local farm. They also explored the lush rainforest and experienced thrilling adventures like ziplining and snorkeling.

The World Languages Department Chair Christina Lipp said the highlight moments for students included the opportunity to speak in Spanish with locals who spoke no English, soaring through the mountains on zip lines, and snorkeling alongside sea turtles!
