Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education submit the following proposition at the Annual District Election on May 17, 2022:
RESOLVED, That the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville School District be authorized to expend the sums set forth in the total amount of $60,249,949 during the 2022-2023 school year and to levy the necessary tax therefore.
6. Resolution: Withdraw and Amend School Tax Rolls – 2019, 2020, 2021
Superintendent’s Resolution: That the Board of Education adopt the Resolution, dated March 28, 2022, to withdraw and amend the 2019, 2020 and 2021 School Tax Rolls, as submitted.
7. Approve the Revised Agreement By and Between the Village of Scotia and Scotia-Glenville Central School District for Community Resource Officer
Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the revised agreement for the part-time Community Resource Officer for the period of April 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 on days school is in session for the students, as submitted.
8. Approve Chief Inspector for the Scotia-Glenville Central School District Annual District Election
Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Bruce Rowledge as Chief Inspector of the Annual District Election on May 17, 2022.
9. Appoint Chairperson of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District Annual District Election
Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint a Chairperson (Board Member) of the Annual District Election on May 17, 2022.
10. Communications
a. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education rescind the letter of resignation of Leslie Wanmer, PPS Teacher Aide (Senior High School), and approve a request for an unpaid leave of absence from February, 14, 2022 through March 20, 2022, as submitted.
b. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Alec Kumpitsch, Cleaner (Senior High School), effective c.o.b. March 25, 2022, with appreciation for his service to the district, as submitted.
c. Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Robert Brower, Cleaner (Glen-Worden Elementary), effective c.o.b. March 29, 2022, with appreciation for his service to the district, as submitted.
11. Report of Superintendent
a. Staffing
1) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the appointment of Dana Cacchione as School Psychologist (Middle School), effective March 25, 2022 through June 30, 2022 providing up to 15 evaluations for PPS at the rate of $500 per evaluation.
2) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the relocation of Aurora Carignan, Teacher Aide (Sacandaga Elementary), to Lincoln Elementary, effective March 21, 2022 with a change of hours from 6.25/day to 7/day, with no change in hourly rate.
3) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the relocation of Leslie Wanmer, Teacher Aide (Senior High School) to Lincoln Elementary, effective March 21, 2022 with a change of hours from 7/day to 6.45/day, with no change in hourly rate.
4) Superintendent’s Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the following 2021-2022 spring coaching appointments:

Minutes
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District was held in the Cafeteria of the Middle School, in said district on March 28, 2022.
President Bucciferro called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Superintendent’s Comments – (Susan Swartz, Superintendent of Schools)
Superintendent Swartz had no comments but moved directly into a budget discussion. She presented the Board with further reductions that bring the District to under the tax levy limit. The Board discussed these new reductions and were in agreement that they could support her proposed budget.
