Here’s a heartwarming story about a group of high school students who recently completed a community service project with a special holiday twist.
Led by their teacher Danielle Vaughan and job coaches Jen Russell, Maria Wagner, and Pat Zeman – these students wanted to spread the joy of the season by giving back to their community in a meaningful way.
Thanks to the generous donation of several yards of fleece, the students set to work creating warm and cozy scarves. They spent hours cutting, washing, and wrapping each scarf with care and attention to detail. And to make their gift even more special, they crafted beautiful holiday cards to send along with their donation to the Schenectady City Mission.
Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, as Julia Goldstock, Director of the Annual Fund at the Schenectady City Mission, was quick to express her gratitude. She thanked the students for their donation, which would undoubtedly bring joy and comfort to those in need.
“Please tell the students we all say thank you and share with them how much of a difference they are making for people in need this winter,” said Ms. Goldstock.
