Congratulations to wrestler Haley Proulx and track & field thrower Phoenix Cellini for being selected as the top performing Tartan athletes for the month of February.
Haley Proulx
Haley Proulx, a freshman on the varsity girls wrestling team, has put in a tremendous amount of effort this season, and her dedication has truly paid off.
She secured third place in her weight class at sectionals, earning her a spot in the inaugural New York State Championships for girls wrestling!
Alongside her athletic achievements, Haley is also listed on the high honor roll.
Phoenix Cellini
Phoenix Cellini is a junior and a thrower on the varsity boys indoor track & field team. He had a remarkable season for Scotia, achieving third place at the Foothills Championships and second at sectionals!
Throughout the season, he has enhanced his throw by 6 feet and is now just 5 inches shy of the state qualifying standard.
Phoenix is a committed athlete and honor roll student who strives for victory.
