Christina is currently one of 33 students enrolled in the Automotive Collision Technology program at the Career & Technical Education Center – Albany Campus. Here, she is gaining skills in various areas, including repairing, restoring, and customizing cars and trucks, as well as mixing specific paint colors, detailing vehicles, and calculating finishing costs.

“I plan to go into the family business after graduation. I feel well-prepared for it,” said Christina, whose family operates C & B Customs in Scotia. “I love the atmosphere of BOCES. I enjoy being able to help teach my classmates,” she said. Her teacher, Dylan Bastian, commended her knowledge and experience, saying, “Christina has been involved in the industry for quite some time. With her existing skills and the new ones she is acquiring, her future looks very bright.”

Automotive Collision Technology is one of 28 programs – ranging from welding to cosmetology, video game design to nurse assistant – offered by the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical Education Center on its Albany and Schoharie Campuses. For more information, visit this link.
