Here’s what is happening at the high school:
January 13, 2025
Yesterday the Scotia Glenville track and field team took a group of selected athletes out to Springfield
college for a large invitational meet! During this meet there were many great moments from high level
jumps to fast sprinters accelerating down the lanes! The highlight of the day was a school record
being broken! Lillian Steward, a junior, broke the school record of weight throw by nearly a foot. The
record was previously set in 2020 by Zoe Connor. Lillian has been working for 3 years on trying to
achieve this goal. Her consistency in the weight room and dedication to her craft helped her achieve
this feat. She is the true definition of Tartan strong. In the upcoming weeks, Lillian and the tartans will
make a push to the foothills championship and sectional championships! Good luck Tartans and all
athletes competing in these events!
