Congratulations to softball player star Hailey Suits and tennis player Lukas Baumgarten for being selected as the top performing Tartan athletes.

Female Athlete of the Month

Hailey Suits

Hailey Suits is from the varsity girls softball team.

This sophomore has been described by Coach McNulty as someone who is eager to learn and is willing to do whatever is needed by her team.

The team has faced some tough injuries, and Hailey, who plays as a catcher/3rd baseman, has stepped up. She is a true example of our Tartan Teamwork theme. As of last week, she has a 99% fielding percentage, a .343 batting average with 6 RBIs, and she is an elite student with a 96 in the classroom.

 

Male Athlete of the Month

Lukas Baumgarten

Lukas Baumgarten is from the varsity boys’ tennis team.

As of last week, the sophomore was a combined 12-0 at the #4 and #5 singles. A determined competitor, his drive to win helped him defeat teams like Queensbury and LaSalle.

Coach Olson describes him as humble, willing to learn, and states that sportsmanship has been a priority. It shows how he carries himself.

This hard-working student has a 91 GPA.
