Math and chemistry teachers nominated for award

Athletics Director Jamian Rockhill and the high school varsity club met and discussed leadership ideas for the spring. The students decided to take time to appreciate teachers by recognizing what makes them special.

This week, the baseball team honored high school math teacher Alyssa LaPointe. Mrs. LaPointe was chosen by freshman catcher Riley Jackson. Riley states Mrs. LaPointe’s smile and willingness to work with any student who expresses a need for help is the reason he nominated her. Thank you, Mrs. LaPointe, we appreciate you!

Last week, the boys varsity lacrosse team honored high school chemistry teacher, Jeff Grizzaffi. Mr. Grizzaffi was chosen by junior midfielder Anthony Muscatiello, pictured to Mr. Grizzaffi’s right. Anthony stated that “Mr. Grizzaffi’s style and positivity really helps make school more enjoyable a better place, and the style of his instruction in chemistry also helps me in lacrosse.” Thank you, Mr. Grizzaffi, we appreciate you!
