Monday, May 13, the Scotia-Glenville School District will have a public forum on a capital improvement building project at 6:30 p.m. and a Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria.
The proposed $12.5 million building proposition will have no additional tax impact for voters. The project will focus on safety and other necessary upgrades to buildings throughout our six schools. The project will have no impact on the tax levy due to debt service reserve funds, building aid, and debt from other projects falling off the books. The capital improvement building project will be on the ballot for the school budget vote on Tuesday, May 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the high school B-wing gym.
Tonight’s meeting and forum are open to the public and will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube Channel. The YouTube link for tonight’s meeting—and the meeting agenda—can be found on the top links of the BOARD OF EDUCATION page of our website.
