It’s that time of year again. As the winter weather season approaches, we wanted to let you know what you can expect in the event of closings and delays.
Any changes to the school day will be communicated through ParentSquare, the district’s mass notification system. Please remember, in the event of an emergency or closure, ParentSquare bypasses user preferences and the message will be delivered immediately by email, text and a voice call.
Weather-related messages will also be posted on our website and through local media outlets.
What to expect:
- Morning closings or delays will typically be communicated by 6:30 a.m.
- In the event of a delay, school will operate two hours later than originally scheduled. There will be no breakfast or morning CTE classes.
- When schools are closed for emergency reasons, after school activities, games, and practices will be canceled unless otherwise announced.
If your email or phone number has changed, please contact the main secretary in your school so you don’t miss an important message. If you have not signed up for ParentSquare yet, here’s a link to help guide you through the registration process.
