Launching Monday: New Website, New Communications Initiatives
Dear Scotia-Glenville Parents, Students, Staff, and Community,
Over the past year, we have reflected deeply on how we engage with our families, staff, students, and neighbors. We are committed to refining our communication, ensuring that every interaction you have with our district is seamless, helpful, timely, and customized to your specific needs.
To support that goal, I am excited to announce that starting this Monday, our website is getting a brand new look and platform!
Please note that as we transition from our old site to the new platform on Monday, there may be brief periods of downtime. However, our web address will not change. You can continue to find us at www.scotiaglenvilleschools.org.
What’s New?
A True Back-to-School Hub: We have redesigned the site to serve as a one-stop shop. You will easily find elementary pick-up and drop-off routines, K–8 supply lists, middle and high school club lists, gr 6–12 bell schedules, building hours, and updated staff directories.
Direct ParentSquare Integration: Because our new site will be fully integrated with ParentSquare, we are now able to embed staff directories on our page - right at your fingertips! Searching for and emailing staff is now easier than ever. You can connect directly with our teachers, administrators, and team members via ParentSquare right from the website.
-
Tailored ParentSquare Opt-In Groups: To ensure you receive only the information most relevant to your household, we are introducing targeted opt-in groups. Instead of overwhelming your inbox, you can choose to receive updates specifically for:
Athletics
Fine Arts
HS College & Career Counseling
General Districtwide News
You can customize your notifications today by visiting the ParentSquare Sign-up Page . Once the new site goes live on Monday, you can also join these groups anytime by navigating to Connect with Us → ParentSquare Groups .
Pardon Our Dust: Please note that our department-level subpages are still actively being built, and will be launched incrementally over the next few weeks. We prioritized getting the site live now to ensure our most critical back-to-school information is in your hands immediately. Rest assured, our Athletics page will remain fully live and updated as Fall sports are already in full swing!
We are committed to building stronger, clearer pathways of communication across our entire school community. If you have any feedback, questions, or suggestions regarding our new website, please reach out to our team at communications@sgcsd.net. Starting on Monday, you will also be able to contact us directly through the website using our new interactive staff directory.Thank you for your continued partnership and patience as we make this exciting upgrade!
Warm regards,
Susan M. Swartz
Superintendent
