Occupational Foundations and Practical Math Career Fair

Posted Date: 10/22/26 (04:50 PM)

Today, students in the Practical Math and Occupational Foundations classes took a step toward their futures by hosting a Career Fair to showcase their career research and real-world learning.

Students gather in a school cafeteria to view science fair displays on red tables. Students present projects at tables set up in a school cafeteria with wood-paneled walls.

The event marked the culmination of a hands-on project designed to help students connect classroom lessons with possible future career opportunities.

To prepare for the fair, students worked on:

  1. Career Interest Inventories: Students began by assessing their strengths, skills, and personal interests to identify career paths that suited them best.
  2. Professional Outreach: Whenever possible, students reached out directly to working professionals in their chosen fields to ask questions and gain industry insights.
  3. Summary & Design: Students took their research and turned it into written summaries and designed presentation boards to showcase their findings.
  4. Presentation/Fair: Students showcased their presentation boards and answered questions about their prospective career choice.
A student stands proudly next to a tri-fold display board titled "Tattoo Artist" inside a bright classroom.

Three students stand behind their career research presentation boards in a classroom. A smiling student stands next to a trifold science fair project board titled Career Project. A young person stands in a room, holding a tri-fold poster board about an oil field, with inspirational quotes on the wall behind them.

Congratulations to all the students who participated for their hard work and amazing displays.
